Most people sometimes think that going with a green lifestyle requires big sacrifices and may be harder to stay committed to. But there are several simple ways you can do this, without having to encounter difficulty.
1.) Start getting used to bringing your own shopping bag when you’re doing groceries or purchasing something at the mall. Some stores actually offer this for a minimum price and you can buy your own to use. Put some of these on your car, or inside your bag, so that you won’t forget it each time you go out. And since these are foldable and won’t take so much space when not in use.
2. Opt for emails and online newsletters instead of having companies send you catalogues and bills. This gesture saves a lot of wastes with paper. You can also actually give up on your newspaper subscription and just read the news online.
3. Regularly check your house for leaks with the radiator or faucet. This not only contribute to so much wastes in the environment, it could also run your utility bills higher.
4. Learn to buy stuff that are reusable and doing away with products packed in plastic bottles and aluminum cans. If you do happen to buy plenty of these, make sure that these can be returned or brought to a recycling facility, and not straight to the trash bin.
5. Walk instead of using your car, if you have to travel a short distance. Join a carpooling service for the kids or at work, so that you save on gas expenses.
If you start doing these now, in no time, you will be able to adjust and incorporate this into your lifestyle
